In the backyard...

So I've had my fancy camera for almost a year now.... and I've been shooting sort of blind, but for several weeks now I've been taking a class online to learn all the basics and figure out what all those buttons do when I'm in manual mode... well today was a back yard adventure...

 First I followed this finch around for a while till he got tired of me and flew way off.  I did manage to get a couple good shots.

 And one of our lessons was about freezing motion so I'm pretty pleased with this honey bee checking out the dandelions.

 And chipmunks are hard... those little guys move fast and tons of holes to dart into, but got one.

And some cool little mushrooms....

Easy care cactus!

So a friend asked me to make a basket of goodies for her school's merchant bingo! This is what i've come up with! A flannel lined blanket, two small hats, some mixed cards, pear barrettes, and an easy care cactus!
