What does the fox say?

So I have seen a ton of cute scarves online recently, but the fox really caught my eye.  Now all the patterns I could find were for knitting and well not my thing.  So I got out my hook and came up with this little guy.  I was pretty pleased with how it turned out and even more pleased when it sold on the first day of the show last week.  And for all of you signing in your head, your welcome.

And a couple of his corporate zombie friends, and a tiny Nosferatu hanging in the back.  These guys didn't sell but I'm hoping that was more because of the crowd.

The Princesses have been framed!

A new set of girl frames with a fairy tale theme.  Aren't they adorable.  I just cannot get enough of the Julie Nutting paperdoll stamps.  I also have a new one that's a boy and can't wait to see what I come up with for him.

A very Minnie Christmas

I saw a party favor online that I really liked.  I decided to mix it up a little.  I created this adorable ornament.  This one is headed to the midwest and my little friend Grace.  I'll be making up some more of these including one for Grace's little sister Abby.  And with out the bow it turns into Mickey for your little Disney loving guy.

Photography skills, and nonskills.

So last year I finally upgraded to a DSLR camera and well it's been really intimidating.  I took a basic class to learn what all the dials and such do, and I've been trying to get out there more and just practice.

When I was little we often camped near the Kinzua Bridge and it was always a stop for us.  We would walk out on the giant bridge and then hike back underneath.  It really isn't for those who are afraid of heights but I managed to get out there and take some pictures.  This was the first time we'd been there since 2003 when a tornado hit the bridge and collapsed more than half of it.  So I took some pretty cool photos while we were there.

The far off side.

The viewing platform they built at the end of the bridge still standing.

Big giant hunks of steel.

This shows the awesome power of a tornado.  It didn't just knock the bridge over it twisted the metal.

And I just love the geometrical look of this one.

A new take on crochet.

I've been working on coming up with a few things that are different from what I've seen at other craft shows.  This is new and blue, what a perfect gift for a bride.  Below is a close up of the crochet edge.

And this pretty bracelet.  It's simple yet elegant.  I added a fancy button to close it up and think it might just be that little something to finish off an outfit.  I intend to make more of these in other colors.

Please check out my Etsy site and follow me here.  One of my newest goals is to be a regular blog poster.  Remember you can always request custom items in my shop.

Blankets, blankets, and blankets.

I also decided that baby love blankets would be a great item to try.  I found this amazingly soft yarn and so far I've created two.  One in a square and one in a starburst shape.
The colors are wonderful and will be so great for babys.

Just look at these fuzzy fibers and the great colors.

And last but not least this afghan.  I started it forever ago and went to the store for more yarn and was told it was discontinued.  My bad for not buying enough to start, I know better.  Well at a discount store the other day I found it and they had the colors I needed so here it is.  This is the first time I've used such a heavy yarn and boy is that little blanket thick and warm.

Don't forget to check out my Etsy shop and get your own little piece of Imagination Droppings.

Hat's off to you.

Let's get ready for some football!  It's that time of year and I thought this would be a popular little hat.  I'm thinking of making one with pink stitching for daddy's little quarter back to be.

Several years ago I had made my first crochet hat and it was a pumpkin.  Well I decided to update it this season and I'm very happy with how it turned out.  This one is pretty tiny and would be so adorable on a newborn.

Check back soon for more goodies.  And if you see something you can't live without head over to my Etsy shop and snatch it up.  If it isn't listed well you can always request a custom item.  I'll do something up special just for you.

Sorry...

I've been MIA and I'm sorry about that.  I know to have a good blog following you have to be a good blog poster.  Our summer running is all over, and I'm gearing up for fall craft shows.  Over the next several days I'll be showing you some of my newest creations.

But onto bigger news:  I was contacted a couple months ago from the lovely lady at Noyes Museum of Art Gift Shop.  Someone she knew had seen my Etsy shop and told her about it.  She took a look and decided that several of my items would be good for the shop which offers homemade items from artists around the area.  I was THRILLED to say the least so I crafted day and night and sent off some easy care cactus,  apple change purses, and baby cowboy boots.  They are located in New Jersey so if you are in the neighborhood stop by take a picture for me.  You can find there website HERE

Here are all my goodies before I boxed them up and sent them off.

Haunting Fall Prep

It's time to start getting ready for some fall craft shows.  So I've been looking for cute ideas and things that are different from what everyone else is making.  First up is this adorable ghost hat.  This is the girl version and I'll be making up a boy version also... I'm thinking with a cute O mouth.

Here it is all flattened out. And still adorable looking.  And might I add, boy my grass is green.

From the other side.  Still cute.  If any of you out there have a little girl in this toddler range I'd love to do a photo shoot with an actual person... so give me a holler and let me know.

Second up, these fall colored baby converses.  All the fashionable babies will be wearing these this fall.

I'll also be listing both of these on my Etsy page (link on the side).  I bet they'll go quick so look fast.  Also you can special order either in new colors to suit your baby needs.

In the backyard...

So I've had my fancy camera for almost a year now.... and I've been shooting sort of blind, but for several weeks now I've been taking a class online to learn all the basics and figure out what all those buttons do when I'm in manual mode... well today was a back yard adventure...

First I followed this finch around for a while till he got tired of me and flew way off.  I did manage to get a couple good shots.

And one of our lessons was about freezing motion so I'm pretty pleased with this honey bee checking out the dandelions.

And chipmunks are hard... those little guys move fast and tons of holes to dart into, but got one.

And some cool little mushrooms....

Hi Ho Tallie....Away!

Okay so I may not have any babies here but I remembered I do have tiny heads... here is my fur baby Tallie modeling the hat!  Isn't she cute?

Yee Haw Day two.

And to go with yesterdays baby boots here is the tiny cowboy hat.  I am pretty excited with it too.  I just wish I had a little head to put it on right now... and take some pictures.

Here is a little different angle... I'm thinking of adding a pink band to match the boots... so many cute options!

Yee Haw!

In a couple weeks one of my craft shows is also a tack show.  So I decided I should work up some horse/cowboy themed items.  First up are these adorable little cowboy boots.  I just love how they turned out, and am moving onto a matching hat next!  So stay tuned for more cowboy fun!

Sitting pretty!

So after my first craft show, I learned a few things.  I realized that instead of packaging my cards in packs of five of the same they would probably sell better if you could buy the five you wanted or just the one you wanted.  I knew I'd need a stand of some sort to get them up off the table so people could see them and check them out.

I got online and found a few that were interesting but nothing that was exactly what I wanted, so I talked it over with my hubby and worked out some plans and he came up with this great stand!  I just love it!  And cannot wait to take it to the show this weekend and see if I sell some cards!

Here it is with some of my cards on it and I cannot wait to see it up on the table.  No time for painting or staining before tomorrow so we'll be going all natural with it for now, but check back to see the finished project!

Easter Bunny hopping down the lane...

So I did it I put myself out there and did my first craft show... it went pretty well.  I had a lot of positive feedback and things to think on for the first time.

For the next show next week...I made up this Easter Bunny hat some little bit is gonna look so cute in this hat.
